1. pretty f'd

nah, just kidding....you can still have fun and, depending on your level of driving skills, still get through the same stuff you would if you had 4wd....just remember that as you are lifting it and modding it, its still 2wd so you will still have to compensate with extra technique

2.

get rubber?

like, chirp the tires?

if thats what you mean, stop doing that....you will blow your transmission a lot sooner, wear out your tires, put strain on the dtrivetrain, and look like a fool....its a nissan SUV, not a bugatti

:)

The thing that will hurt you off road more than any thing will be that with your rear open diff, as soon as one tire slips, you're stuck....as the other tire will get no torque (The torque goes to the faster tire).

The other thing is not having a t-case/low range gears....much harder to drive slowly and carefully over rough terrain.

If you get a set of more aggressive rear tires, it will help to prevent slips....

...as will a set of lift shackles and longer rear shocks, to help keep the tires on the ground.

I have not yet removed the rear sway bar, do to the fact right now 99.9% of my driving is on road. I plan on removing it when I have the small amount of extra money I need for the longer shackles and shocks.

As far as new shocks, what do you recommend for the front and rear?
I am looking for a good cross to allow for good flex off road and control on.

It all depends on the type of wheelin' you plan on doing. I'm in Arizona and with the terrain here, a lot of obstacles can be conquered by dropping air pressure. It helps grip on the rocks and improves flotation on the sand.

However, there is no substitute for a transfer case.
