history and travels
Below are links, galleries and other images chronicalling the history of my Xterra
as it has changed since I got it and some of the interesting trips I've taken with it.
From snowboarding trips up north with friends to off-roading weekends with various Xterra
clubs in the region...
Enjoying what the Xterra was designed for and why I got one!

evolution of an xterra
It started innocently enough with a stock 2001 Xterra SE. But, like most vehicles
I've owned, they don't stay stock for long. The Xterra was no exception, and with
it being a new vehicle from the start - it was a nice break from custom cars and other
restorations. The aftermarket parts industry for the Xterra was still relatively new
when I got mine, but over the last years, things have really begun to pick up steam.
I've basically kept the attitude of "staying within reason" but at the same time,
enhancing stock components for better performance on the road and off. Here is a visual
timeline of that progress...

off-roading, club meets and other trips
Proving that Xterra's aren't just for hauling your ass to the grocery store and
back and forth to work everyday... But also also for getting out into the rougher
spots nature has to offer. Here are a few images from trips I've taken with the
X into the wilderness (such that it is around here anyway) and a few links and galleries
with more pictures and information.
An off-roading Xcursion featuring several clubs (NEXTerra, NJAX & MAXC) in
Shamokin, PA (September 14-16, 2001) has its own gallery.
NEXTerra & MAXC had a "Back 2 Basics" event in
the New Jersey Pine Barrens (a two-day weekend trip) which is covered on the NEXTerra
Website.
