...with some snow

one kick-ass rack for decks, dude.

Okay, so technically it holds skiis too, but who rides those old things anymore? ;)

In all seriousness, six pairs of skiis or four snowboards (stored P-Tex to P-Tex) and can be fitted with a pair of optional SRS Locking Cores (not included) and Slant Mount Adaptors (included). They will mount very nicely to and be quite factory-looking with the stock Xterra roof rack using a set of four Vertical MightyMounts.

This is how I had them mounted at first, but later when I got my LoadWarrior basket I moved them up there, using the original Crossbar Mounts that they came with. In order to fit my snowboards without removing the Viper Bike Rack I had to use the Slant Mount Adaptors (seen in the last two photos). Since that time, I've also acquired a Steelhead Bike Rack and the combination of all these attachments doesn't quite work with just the LoadWarrior itself, so I do a bit of juggling around of components (completely easy and requires no tools!) as the seasons change. You could mount everything if you add a set of Crossbars and X-Towers, though...

thank you for flying Yakima air...

Are you getting all this? In Yakima world, everything is a pricey little component or add-on to a grand system of plug-and-play rackery. The end result is very nice, mind you. I've never had problems with them and they work very well, while providing a very sano way to haul your decks.

ppsstt!

There is a new product out called the LiftTicket, both models compare very similarly to the BigPowderHound models but the former appear to be a slightly improved or modernized design over the latter.

When you buy your SRS Locking Cores I would strongly suggest that you buy a pack of four or six - this way you have enough for any additional accessories you might add while keeping the same key for all of them. Buying more cores after the fact will result in extra hassles and keys.
