Since getting the truck, I've kept a record of what modifications I've made to it and when I did them, just to maintain a sort of timeline of its history. Also listed below are any interesting events or trips that involved the truck, such as club outtings and off-road excursions. Amazing how time flies sometimes, isn't it?

2005

2004

  • 10/16:  Installed Calmini steering system

  • 10/15:  Swapped SLR 1" shackles for Calmini 1.5" shackles

  • 08/01:  Truck featured on ShrockWorks Website

  • 06/12:  Attended East Coast Xterra Championships in Richmond, VA
    Entered Xterra auto show, won 3rd place out of 22 trucks!

  • 06/08:  Installed Manik tailight guards

  • 06/03:  Installed custom light bar and two KC DayLighter (long distance) lights

  • 04/20:  Installed and wired 2x55w rear backup lights

  • 04/06:  Installed Calmini Rear Sway Bar Quick Disconnects

  • 04/01:  Installed ShrockWorks front bumper and 100w each KC DayLighter (fog) lights

  • 03/06:  Installed Calmini Upper Control Arms (UCAs) and new adjuster bolts

  • 02/28:  Installed Aurora 8.5mm silicone ignition wires, Energy Suspension graphite-injected polyurethane front endlink bushings and custom Xterra Firma front swaybar disconnects

  • 02/13:  Installed silver/chrome park/turn bulbs, xenon reverse bulbs and Energy Suspension greaseable polyurethane rear swaybar bushings

  • 01/31:  Installed "Euro headlights" and "clear corner lenses" and rubber AM/FM antenna

  • 01/19:  Installed Sylvania SilverStar headlight bulbs

  • 01/10:  Installed Raingler Medium Xterra Roof Pocket

2002

  • 09/03:  Launched an all-new, top-level Xterra Firma community Website

  • 08/27:  Launched this newly re-designed version of the original Xterra Firma

  • 08/18:  Installed Stant locking gas cap

  • 06/21:  Installed SLR 1" shackles and triple-spring AALs

  • 06/19:  Installed Calmini idler arm brace

  • 06/10:  Performed the "Fresh air mod"

  • 05/30:  Installed Sway-A-Way torsion bars and Hella gooseneck map light

  • 05/29:  Replaced Nissan with WeatherTech bug deflector

  • 04/20:  Added a Yakima Steelhead mountain bike rack and Wheel Fork

2001

  • 11/03:  Installed Yakima Light Bar Brackets with two additional KC Daylighters and SLR steering stabilizer

  • 09/14:  NEXTerra, NJAX & MAXC trip to Shamokin, PA for off-roading and camping (two days)

  • 09/12:  Installed Interco TRXUS mud terrain tires (LT265/75R16) and 18" Yakima LoadWarrior Extension

  • 09/08:  Installed SLR 2" shackles, Bilstein shocks (20% stiffer, fronts & extra-length rears) and adjusted torsion bars upwards 1.5"

  • 09/01:  Replaced X Towers and Crossbars with a LoadWarrior cargo basket

  • 08/19:  Installed the "see-thru deflector mod" - way cool kit by Kris Carlson

  • 08/18:  Installed Yakima "Viper" bike rack, X Towers and Crossbars. Relocated BigPowerHound to crossbars

  • 06/05:  Installed a Westin Safari Bar and dual 150w 6" KC Daylighter lights

  • 05/05:  Installed a Nissan Receiver Hitch

  • 04/07"Back 2 Basics" event with MAXC/NEXTerra in the New Jersey Pine Barrens (two days)

2000

  • 12/23:  I decided to give my desktop a brand new "solar yellow look" to match

  • 12/22:  Got the front side windows tinted to match the rear. Total cost was $45 and took about 30-45 minutes to install

  • 11/10:  Heading up to Killington, VT for the weekend for the first snowboarding trip of the season! Got my freshly bolted-on BigPowderHound snowboard rack at the ready!

  • 10/28:  Took delivery of the vehicle from Marlboro Nissan. Steve Fisk is the man - he totally surprised me with the news! I flew up to Boston to pick it up and then drove it back home to break it in. Life is indeed good!
